Ed Sheeran Digipak Analysis
I feel that Ed Sheeran has decided to use this colouring for his debut album because it strongly relates to him. It is well known that Ed Sheeran has orange hair linking to his star appeal, so he may of chosen this colour so the audience know it belongs to him.
The predominant image is of Ed Sheeran's face. This connotes to the audience that his music is a reflection of himself.
On the Digipak a very simplistic font is used, once again symbolising the straight forward and honest nature of his music. Coupled with the white colour and blurred edge, it creates an overall theme of realism: showing that Ed is a normal person.
Finally, the inclusion of the '+' symbol emphasises his straight forward style and dislike of superfluous design.
